Hahn uses the Aussie anthem You’re The Voice.

Hahn. Ahh, now you're talking! TV Ad uses the Aussie anthem You're The Voice.

What's the most epic pub anthem? Discuss

Hahn Brewery celebrates 30th by asking: “what is the most epic pub anthem ever?”

Hahn Superdry has brought to life the debate of which Australian hit is the best pub anthem.

The new 'Hahn – Now You’re Talking' campaign is about positioning the beer as the one that celebrates conversations between mates.

Developed by Ogilvy Sydney, the new platform is backed by a $12million campaign called “Beer Banter".

The 30-second launch ad shows two men marching towards one another to the tunes of 'You're the Voice' by John Farnham and 'The Horses' by Daryl Braithwaite.

As the two prepare to meet in the middle, the ad cuts away to a local pub, where the two men are seen arguing over the songs.

In a final effort to continue the debate, a third friend offers the suggestion "what about Run to Paradise" by The Choirboys.

The new campaign also coincides with the 30 year anniversary of the launch of the Hahn brand back in 1988.

The campaign will roll out across TV, OOH, PR and digital over the coming weeks. There is also hundreds of ‘conversation starters’ featuring provocative questions being placed under Hahn bottle caps and on pub coasters as part of an amplification in conjunction with Geometry Global.

“Hahn is unashamedly a big and popular Australian beer brand, and while busy lives might sometimes get in the way, what’s a bigger or more popular pastime than catching up with mates for a beer in a pub or over a BBQ?" Lion Portfolio marketing manager Amy Darvill says.

"We want this campaign to get this simple pleasure back on everyone’s radar.

“We also love how we are bringing back our focus on taste – something that has been absolutely core to the Hahn range of beers since it was but a twinkle in Chuck Hahn’s eye 30 years ago. It is part of who we are - anyone who enjoys a schooner of Hahn SuperDry will agree - so let’s celebrate it."
